It is with great joy for our dear friend, Valerie, but also with sadness for what we have lost, that we let you know that Valerie went home to our Lord Friday afternoon (1/3/2020).  We have no doubt that Valerie was welcomed to her heavenly home with the words:  “Well done my good and faithful servant, enter into the joy of your Master.”

When Valerie was diagnosed with terminal cancer in October, 2018, she could not have imagined that she would live until 2020.  But as Valerie always knew, God has his own plans and his plans are not the same as ours.  We are grateful that our Lord gave all of us this additional time with our friend.

Valerie’s husband, Craig, and her three children, Matt, Rachelle and Kat, want to thank everyone who has prayed so faithfully for Valerie and her family during her battle with cancer.  Your prayers have lifted each of them during this long and most difficult journey, and they are so very grateful for your love and concern for them.

During her fourteen years as Executive Director of The Christian Mission, Valerie touched the lives of thousands of people.  And while Valerie’s presence will certainly be missed, her spirit and her example of loving and caring for those in poverty and in need will live forever in each of our lives.

There will be a Celebration of Life at Williamson’s Chapel on Saturday, January 18th, 2020 at 11:00 a.m.
